Sydney's interest in tennis began at the age of 10 when he was a ball boy and a year later was given the opportunity to start playing the game. His achievements in the years since have been phenomenal.

Sydney became the National Tennis Champion of Barbados at age 17. In 1983 he was the Tennis Champion in Prince Edward Island, Canada. He then coached in Thouro, Nova Scotia for the next three years.
On his return to Barbados he represented Barbados in the Davis Cup in the years 1992 and 1993 and became Captain for the Barbados team in the Davis cup in 1995.
Since 2001 some of Barbados' top players have been exclusively coached by Sydney – most notably Darian King who, as of February 2013, was ranked number 47 in the World Junior Ranking of the International Tennis Federation and is number 484 in the world in the ATP World Tour.
Sydney maintains his grip on the tennis scene by participating in International Tennis Federation coaching seminars and he also attends the United States Tennis Association (USTA) seminars and tournaments, including Wimbledon.

There are a number of up and coming junior players attending Sydney's tennis programs.
Cofounder of Barbados Tennis and On Court Promotions. Caroline runs the business side of things and is a key player in its success.
Caroline is the coordinator of the Christopher Howitt Championships, one of the longest running annual competitions. She also makes bookings for coaching sessions, tennis camps and tennis tournaments ensuring it all runs smoothly.

Some of the many juniors who play at our club and make up the team. Most of the players have achieved Barbados rankings and some of them play on the international circuits and are focussed on building their ITF rankings.
